On Thursday 18 February, at the invitation of the ALDE Party President Hans van Baalen MEP, the leader of the ALDE Group in the European Parliament Guy Verhofstadt, liberal Prime Ministers, European Commissioners, and other European liberal political leaders once again gathered together in Brussels to exchange views and formulate common policy positions ahead of the European Council Summit.
On Thursday 4 February, liberal European Commissioner for Digital Single Market, Andrus Ansip, and liberal Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium and Minister for Digital Agenda, Alexander de Croo, attended the European launch of the World Development Report 2016 in Brussels, focusing on digital developments across the globe.

The event will bring together 800 top-level European liberal politicians, delegates from across Europe and invited guests for a 3-day programme of policy discussions & elections which will help to steer the course for European Liberalism over the coming years.
The European Liberal Business Club is glad to announce the formation of its newest working group focusing on the policy sector of transport and logistics. The working group’s inaugural meeting is scheduled to take place in mid-February (exact date is under discussion), and will serve as a platform for stakeholders to engage with the field’s leading EU politicians, and to offer relevant policy input on a number of transport issues salient in European affairs today.
